IMPORTANT TO CLAIMANTS AND WITNESSES. It is pointed out in connexion with claims for enrolment that claimants and witnesses should take particular notice of the requirements of the law with respect to the witnessing of claimants' signature. • From the directions on the back -of the enrolment forms ;t is clear that- the claimant must e:cher sign in.the presence of tho witness or declare before the witness that the signature is his. The information on the back of the enrolment form on this point roads: — 'The witness must not sign v.ithout having actually seen the claimant write his name, or "without hearing the person signing dcx-lare that the signature is in his own handwriting." Not only should claimants for enrolment, and witnesses, take particular note of this important requirement, but those who are engaged .in the work of" enrolling electors should bear it in mind.
