An angry Mexican mob threatened to board tho vessel and sink her.
The wharf was actually undermined, dynamite being placed beneath it, whilst a Mexican steamer, ladon with inflammable stuff, cast anchor ten foot from tho Cetriana.
The Cetriana was mancem-red out of danger, however, just as tho American warship Raleigh arrived.
As tlie Cetriana. was leaving, tho Mexicans despatched a steamer with tho apparent intention of ramming her, but a riflo fusillade permitted the Cetriana to get clear.
The Mexican Telegraph Company advisee that messages in plain English may now be accented for Belize, British Hoiuluras, tnfbjocfc to strict cen&orsliip. Code words aro prohibited.
