WASHINGTON, May IS. Huerfa has authorised tho Mexican pearo delegates to submit his resignation to the Conference if such a course be found essential to tho settlement of the peace negotiations. It is understood that very likely the whole scope of tho negotiations will bo widened in order to include the beet moans of pacifying Mexico.
