Tho story was on the lines of one which appeared in one of tbe American magazines recently. Tho heroine, Asta, becomes an acknowledged leader in the suffragette movement, and is foremost in window smashing. She is chosen to place a bomb in the Prime Minister's residence, but on.arrival there is astonished to find that the Premier is the one man of her dreams. The recognition is mutual, but stern duty intervenes, and Asta fells the Premier of certain letters in her possession, and threatens exposure unless the Premier will'support a Bill for women's rights. The Premier declines to be either bribed or forced. She trie* unsuccesafoßy to find an opportunity to remove the bomb, and has ultimately to leave the mansion without attaining her purpose. She is in terror that the bomb may explode and injnre the Premier, and at last sees the error of her ways. It only wants a few minutes to midnight, and Asta is in despair. She manages to enter the mansion as the
Cabinet disperses, but too lato to avert disaster. The bomb explodes, and does an enormous amount of damage, but no lives are lost, and tbe Premier tactfully saves Asta from the consequences of her crime by introducing her to his astonished colleagues as his future wife. Supporting films included "Lifo in Hong Kong," an interesting travel study; "Hero and his Blind Master," a dog drama; "The Lawyer, Dog, and tho Baby," a splendid comic; and the latest Pathe "English Gazette."
