SEVENTH DAY ADVENTISTS' CONFERENCE.

—; c ■ The Seventh T>ay Adventists' Conference, encamped at Palmerston North show-grounds, resolved: — 1 Whereas the Lord has abundantly blessed this Conference during the past year in all its departments, we hereby place oh record our grateful thanks to Him, and in recognition of Hie manifold mercies wo reconsecrate ourselves to His service in the Third Angel's Message. 2. "That wo encourage our local Conferences to renew their interest on behalf of their work for the blind. (a) In securing names and addresses of the blind for the labourers in charge of this work. (b) In the support of the work." 3. Whereas the Australasian Union Conference has offered to provide the funds to meet the cost of educating two young Maoris in tho Oroua Missionary School in order to fit them to carry this threefold message to their own people, wo recommend that earnest efforts be put forth to find two such suitable young people. 4. Whereas the general meeting of Sabbath-keepers in the South Island last year proved a great blessing to our members in that part of our Conference, we recommend that a similar meeting be held this year at about Easter time. 5. Whereas it is essential that we endeavour, by all means, to preserve the measure of roligious liberty which we vow enjoy; and, whereas, there is a distinct tendency being shown to infringe these liberties, wo therefore recommend that a Religious Liberty Secretary bo appointed in each church, whose duty it shall be to carefully study and disseminate in his church these important principles, and to watch for every attempt to interfere with, or to restrict, liberty, and to report such efforts immediately to the office of the religious liberty department of the Conference. G. Whereas the Press is the greatest medium for reaching the masses, we recommend that steps be taken to organise a Press Bureau on lines similar to those adopted by the World's General Conference of the Seventh Day Adventists, and we further recommend that in order to make this work a success our church officers be invited to send in to the Conference office the names of any of their church members who may possess qualifications which would fit thorn to act a.s local Press correspondents.
