The annunl social and tea of the Eist Evreton Church was held in the Hall last Thursday. The Rev. J. F. Martin presided over tho function, which all sections of the community combined to make a success. Sone;s were contributed by Mrs J. F. Martin, the Misses Pkevimrton, Merrin, nnd Moore, and Mr Cooner. were <nven by R°v. J. F Mnrtin, t>to Misses. R*> Gardiner and E. Ryde. Mr Harry Bennett prespnted the annual finiw-ial report, wVch showed a credit bnlance of .€B. He moved a vote of thanks to all tho«o who had as«i«tod in oTnrrch work. Snywr was provided by ihe ladies o f the district.
Mr A. contractor for the nrtdee over the main drnin at comer, commenced operations last week.
