LITTLE RIVER.

The Evlpsmere Lands Drainnge Board met at Tai Tnim, all the members being -present. The Chairman read a letter from Mr J. A. Pannett, regarding payment of balance of money awarded for the Ellesmere outlet culvert. It was resolved that the letter lie on the table. Correspondence was also re—! ceived from Mr Pannett's solicitors, '' claiming 6 per cent, interest on the above-balance. Committees were set up t-o deal with the work of the different i parts of tho district. A hearty vote of ! thanks was accorded the chairman (Mr Morten) for his trouble and attention during the Pannett arbitration case The clerk's report stated the river to bo very low and in good order.

The Guild of St, Andrew's Church Little River, is busy organising a Christmas tree and bazaar in aid of the vicarage fund- This ig tQ fa Friday week.

. The Little River Tennis Club is sending a team to Addington on Anniversary Day.

The treasurer of the Little River Brass Band desires to acknowledge a subscription of 10s from Mr George Breitmeyer towards the band funds.
