PARNASSUS.

A very large gathering .of friends visited Mr and Mrs Morrison, of Parnassus, on Thursday evening to bid them farewell on tnoir departure from the district. An enjoyable evening was spent. There was a progressive euchre tournament. The ladies' first prize was won by Mrs Raddon, and the men's prize by Mr Morrison. The booby prizes went to Miss Barker and Mr Pat Macfarlane. Mr E. D. Giles, on behalf of the friends, presented Mr and Mrs Morrison with a silver tea and coffee service suitably inscribed. He eulogised the many good qualities -of the recipients and the general goodwill felt towards them Mr Morrison suitably responded.
