DARFIELD.
A wedding which created considerable interest was celebrated in St. Mary's Anglican Obnrch. Wyndham, Southland, on "Wednesday morning, when Mr Henry Valentine (third son of the late Mr Archibald Valentine and of Mrs Valentine, of Waikouaiti) and Miss Dorothy Porter (only daughter of Mr and Mrs E. C. W. Porter, of the Bank of New Zealanc Wyndham). were married. Key. H. Blathwayt, vicar of St. Mary's was tho officiating clergyman. The church bad been beautifully decorated for the occasion by Mrs Blathwayt and several girl friends or tho bride. The service was choral in honour of tht» bride's father, who is the choirmaster of the church. The> building was crowded with well-wishers of tho young couple. Mr Valentine, who was lately stationmaster at Wyndham, was succeeded by Mr E. J. Lezard at Darfield.
