CITY AND SUBURBAN ASSOCIATION.

The seventh round of matches was played oa Saturday under first-cla&s conditions. SENIORS. Playing at Sydenham Park, Railway scored 140 against Y.M.O.A. (Rogers 16, A. Brpwn 18, Croft 19, McKenzie 19. Forbes 10, Williams 17, Fleet 11). Y.M.O.A. had made 67 for seven wickets (Fraser 2ii, Johnson 10, Avers 27 not out). Johnson and Smith, for V.M.C.A., and Williams, for Railway, bowled well. Druids met Sumnor at Sydenham, the former, team winning by 21 runs on the first innings. Scores: —Sumner 163 (Simpson 42, Short 36, Wigley 35, Edmonds 25, Norris 23). Druids made 181 (Anderson 12, Spicer 120 not out). Gale, Deans and Spicor, for Druids, and Edmonds and Wigley for Sumner, bowled best. Waimairi, batting first against Linwood Wanderers, made 70 (Smith 18, Watson 15, Marks 14). Lin wood Wanderers replied with 77 (Keenan 34, Peters 12;. Waimairi made 70 in their second innings (Kettle 16, Watson 17, Crossen 15). Stevens and Harry, for Linwood, and Watson, for Waimairi, bowled best.

Glentnore met Sydenham Hockey Club at Woolston Domain. Batting first Glenmore made 182 (Egan 108, Samms 15, Yates 15, Hay 15). At six o'clock {Sydenham had made 100 for six wickets (Keen 26, Thorp 25, not out, Fairclough 11, Chambers 12). JUNIORS—A SECTION. St. John's secured a three-point win by defeating V.M.C.A. by seven wickets and 10 runs. Scores:—V.M.C.A. 33 and 69 (Down 17, Wardell 13 and 12, Mclntosh 18). St. John's 52 and 65 for three wickets (Reese 34 not out, Rolls 14, Askew 15, Pierce 10 not out). Howes and Allen for St. John's and Down and Mclntosh wore the ,most successful bowlers. Rawhiti defeated Scotts by eight runs on the first innings, ■ gaining a twopoint win. Scores:—Rawhiti 79 (Rev. Mathias 21, Bellamy 21, McCree 11 not out). Scotts 71 (Peacock 28, Dempster 1-6). Richards and Peacock for Scotts and Bette and Bellamy for Rawhiti divided the bowling honours. . Playing at Lin wood Park, Woolston easily defeated Railway, and secured a three-point win. Scores:—Railway 34 and 71. Woolston made 175 for six wickets and declared (Levi 109 not out, Leiehton 33, Pennells 24). Pennelb and Leighton for Woolston, and Radford for Railway, bowled best. . St. Albans' Guild gained a threepoint win, defeating Lhruids' B by six wickets and 78 runs. Scores:—T>riiids 27 and 43 (Goom 16), St. Albans , Guild 148 for. four, wickete (Neute 62 not out, Faulkner 50, Small 20. Watts 14). Small and Watte for St. Albans were the most successful with the ball. B SECTION. Council defeated Linwood Wanderers A by 38 rnns on the first innings, securing a two-point win. Scores:—Council 113 (Cooper 27, Miles 26, Tolcher 19, Offwood 12), Linwood Wanderers 75 (Irving 31, Jennings xi), , Wainsoott 10). Raxworthy and Toloher for Council and B. Wainscott for Linwood Wanderers bowled best. Richmond Working Men's Club defeated Druids' A by 84 rnns on the first innings, gaining a three-point win. Scores:—Richmond 186 (Buchanan , 74, Kidd 47. Selwood 27, Evans 12). Druids 102 (Smith 80, Gydes 16, F. Hales 11, Warrington 12, L. Hales 11). Walters, Kidd, and Hughes for Richmond, and Warrincton for Druids wore the most successful bowlers. Playing at Linwood Park, Glenmoro defeated Dunstable by an innings and 76 rnns, securing a three-point win. Scores:-—Glenmore .124 (Smith 54 not out, Sykes 81, Champ 23 not out, Mills 11), Dunstable 26 and 22 (Williamson 10). Gindors and Neiteon for Dunstable bowled well, ■, as did Mills and Wilson for Glenmore, the latter taking 13 wickets for 11 runs, including the "hat trick. ,, . St. Peter's gained a two-point win by defeating Linwood Wanderers by 13 runs on the first innings. Scores:—St. Peter's 61 (Duncan 13. Monies 13, Bruce 12). L ; nwood Wnnderers 48 (Sullivan 13, Male 12). Ballantine six wickets for 11 runs, and Hnmm for St. Peter's, and Hutchings and Nicholson for Linwood Wanderers bowled best. , PRESIDENTS. Waimairi defeated Dunstable bj 1C rnns, securing a three-point win. Drnids met St. Matthew's at St Albans Park, the latter team winning by an innings and 46 nine. Scores:— l>mida 13 and 16. St. Matthew's- 73 (Fletcher 32, Harrison 11). For St. Matthew's, Fletcher took eight wickets for 10 run, and Parsons seven for 16 rnns. Smith, seven for 39 (including the "hat trick"), and Graham, three for 27, were the best bowlers for Druids. Edgeware gained a two-point win over St. Jobn'e at St. Albans Park. Scores:—Edgeware 114 (Hewitt 33, L. Philpott 17, Davey 13, Maxwell 10, Lucas 12, and Grant 10). St. John's made 50 (Jennings 13) and 14. Edgeware thus winning by an innings and 40 runs. Davey, Thmson, and A. Philpott for Edgeware. and Baker. Harwcod, and Turner for St. John's bowled best.
