THE POSITION AT HUNTLY.
(special to "the tress. ,, ) AUCKLAND, December 6. The position at Huntly remains unchanged. The town is very quiet and orderly. The work of erecting fences around the mines is still going on. It is stated that a new union is being formed, but no information of an authoritative nature can be obtained. The general opinion is that a new union will be formed, and the company intends to open the mines with outside labour. To-day makes the seventh -week of the strike, and this means that the sum of over £10.000 has been lost by the men in wages.
