MEETING OF EXECUTIVE.
A meeting of the Executive Committee of the Christchurch Domain Rose Carnival was held yesterday, when final arrangements were made in connexion with to-day's carnival. Mr H. J. Beswick presided. i The secretary, Mr G. W. Hervey, reported that he had engaged tho Woolston Band for the afternoon and evening at a foe of £10. There would be a full band, and the members would march from the Square to the Domain at 2.30 and 7.30 p.m. The action of the secretary was approved. Tho arrangements in connexion with tbo bachelors' tea tent had been cancelled owing to the strfio interfering with tho duties of the of the attendants, but subsequently it had been arranged that all those interested would be able to attend, and the previous arrangements would stand. For the eighty odd classes nearly 200 entries have been received. It has been decided that the exhibits must be staged by 11 a.m., at which hour tho judging will be commenced. The show will be opened to tho public at 1 p.m., the Domain gates opening at noon.
