CHARGES OF ASSAULT.

(press ASSOCIATION TELEC-ASI.) WELLINGTON, December 4. Max Wolfe appeared, on remand, at the Police Court this morning charged with assaulting Joseph Kilcolly, a special constable, and causing actual bodily harm on November 17th. The evidence showed that Kilcolly, with another "special," was having a drink in Barrett's Hotel, when accused said: "Take that, you scab," and throw a beer glass, striking Kilcolly on the cheek, and inflicting a severe wound. Accused was committed for trial, bail being fixed self in £100 and sureties. At the Magistrate's Court Charles Johnson, charged with assaulting a special constablo, was fined £4, in default 21 days' imprisonment, and ordered to find a bond of £20 and two sureties of £10 each to keep the peace for six months.
