HAREWOOD.

A- meeting of the. Harewood School Committee was held on Monday. Present—Messrs Durey (chairman), Philpott, Nunweek, Powell, Burrows, and Sutherland. The master's report showed an average attendance of 137 and a roll of 154. Correspondence was received from the headmaster regarding dux medals. It was agreed that the inspector decide the'winners of the two medals kindly presented by Messrs G. Stanley and G. F. Durey. It waa agreed to close the school from December 23rd to February 9th, 1914; also to hold tho annual picnic at Sumner on December 12th provided suitable arrangements could be made.
