MR ASQUITH ON THE TERRITORIALS.

AN EFFICIENT FORCE

Referring to a Territorial deputation, Mr Asquith emphasised the unanimous testimony of distinguished officers and generals regarding the efficiency of the Territorials. The Committee of Imperial Defence regarded them as of the highest importance. He believed that the organnsation was based on sound lines, and the Government would meet all legitimate demands within tho resources at its disposal.
