CADET CAMP AT KAIAPOI.

Good work is going forward morning nnd evening at the camp on the golf links, the average attendance being nbout forty. It is intended to hold the range firing on Saturday at 1 p.m. It may not be generally known that, owing to cadets not being required to attend camps under the Defence Act, the authorities do not give any grant towards the mess arrangements, and Captain Oram has therefore hnd to make hi* own arrangements in this resnect. Some local residents have very kindly come forward with donations of food, etc., but the Officer Commanding would be very glad of further help in this direction.
