SCHOOL COMMITTEES.

A meeting of the Sydenham School Committee was held on Tuesday, Mr Marks presiding. It was decided to advertise for five pupil teachers. The committee decided to close the school for the Christmas holidays on' Tuesday, December 23rd. for five weeks. The new secretary, Mr J. T. Forrester, was introduced to the meeting. The headmaster reported that there were 1056 scholars on -the roll, with an average attendance of 931.
