DISCUSSION IN THE HOUSE.

ffII'ICIAL TO "THE PRESS.' * WELLINGTON, November 26. Advantage was taken by the Labour members of the introduction of the monthly Imprest Supply Bill in the House this evening to deliver speeches regarding the strike. Messrs Payne and Webb unburdened themselves of a great deal of* "hot air," the latter asserting in a loud voice that the "Tory" Government was mistaken if it thought it could settle the strike with "batons, bayonets, bullets, and coercion." Mr Veitch, who as usual spoke in very moderate terms, condemned the Federation of Labour and the, general strike policy. He joined with other members in urging that Parliament should intervene to put an end to the present trouble. .
