KAIAPOI.

On Monday evening abont 60 or 70 of the military cadets of No. 9 Company, affiliated with the 13th Regiment of Territorials, went into a voluntary camp on the golf links. The officers on duty are Captain Wheeler, of the Staff, with Captain H. Oram, Lieutenants A. L. Gray and R. Stark. Ser-geant-Major TV. Franks and Staff Instructor Serpeant Chapellow are also in camp. Tents were pitched in a sheltered portion of the ground. The routine is—Reveille at 5.30 a.m., drill and.breakfast, and in the evening tea, drill, lectures, and guard mounting! It is expected that a good deal of range firing will be dono on Saturday. On Sunday a drumhead church pa'rnde will take nlace in camp, and the brass band will be in attendance.
