LEESTON.
The Loyal Leeston Lodge of Oddfellows, M.TL, met on Monday evening, P.G., Bro. A. Baylis. presiding over a good attendance of members. The North Canterbury District officers, together with brethren from Cbristchurch and Prebbleton, visited the lodge, and were heartily welcomed. In responding, the Prov. G.M. briefly referred to the business of the district, and complimented the Lodge on its continued prosperity, and on the manner in which its business was conducted. Representatives from the City, of Christchurch, Volunteer, Papanui, Benevolent, Perseverance. Riccarton, Jubilee, and the Buckingham IMstrict (Hobart, Tasmania) lodges, also responded. At theconclusion of the ordinary business a Past Grand Lodge was held, when the Past Grand's Degree was conferred on Bros. G. Rodgers. E. {Miles. L. Leybourne, and A. Brown, of the Leeston The visitors were entertained at supper.
