The Pennant Competition commences today, when two rinks of the clubs engaged will play on each green. Owing to a number of clubs not entering, the competition hjj been robbed of much of ite interest, xbe following is the arrangement for today:— Opawa v. St. Albane, Rmgior* v. ChristchuTch, Edgeware v. Kaiapoi. liinwocul acd Sydenham, who Are not oomfor the pcimaiits, are playing a ■fricnaly twelTo-rink inter-club match—cix rinks <m each green. . Edgeware aio also eending to Kai&poi eer«j»l rinks to take part in a friendly interclub match. The K.Z. Farmers' Co-op. aii3 the Kaiapoi Woollen Co. are a three-rink match on the Canterbury Green. Two rinks from Sydenham *re meeting two xinks at Snnnysidc. A bowling match, p&yed at Timarn os !niuraday, between the Ashburton and Park Clubs, resulted in 1 win for the former by 19 point*.. The scores were: Aehborton 121, Park 102.
