On the Show grounds at Addington a largo camp of mounted "specials" has been established. Some hundreds of men are now in camp, and reinforcements aro coming from various parts of Canterbury. Tlie Mayor has formally issued a call for citizens to volunteer as special constables. In Lytteiton thero was somo prospect of disorder, hut the strikers restricted themselves for tho most part to tho tactics of intimidation. In Wellington yesterday thero was a scene of much activity on the wharves, loading being carried out on no fewer than 24 vessels. Somo disorder was created in Post Office square by a large crowd, but a comparatively small force of mounted men dispersed tho mob and restored order. During the day various minor acts of disorder wero committed, and some arrests wero made. The arrested Federation leaders came before the Court and wore again remanded. Tho hotels wore closed for the day. The steamer Te Anau left Wellington for Lytteiton, where she will be used as a houseboat for the members of tho new union. The membership of tho new union of watersiders is now nearly 1000. Auckland was also tho scene of some small disorders, hut theso wero suppressed, and work proceeded busily at the wharves. In Dunedin work also proceeded peaceably.
