MELBOURNE, February 11. Jules Brugmann, a well-known, importer, pleaded "CJ-uilty" to eleven, charges of "cookiaj'g' customs invoices. Defendant obtained from firms on the

Continent a supply of their invoice forms and filled them in himself, giving lower values to the goods. One firm in Belgium demanded half tie profits to fill in special invoices, and ultimately sent tbe forms for defendant to fill in himself. The Customs authorities seized £2000 •worth of goods. -.Defendant was fined £230.
