ASHLEY.
There were present at a meeting of the Ashley Road Board Messrs Ormichael, Carr, and Kennedy. Correspondence wan received from Amberley. Mr John O'Halloran enclosed a statement of thirds due to the different local 'bodies, the Ashley Board's share, being about £14,000. Mr A. W. Rutherford also wrote stating that he is agitating to have the foot bridge at the Ashley Railway Bridge reinstated, nr.d that he had ascertained that the local •bodiea were to receive the thirds due on Midland Railway land. It was decided to write to the Railway Department complaining of the delay in commencing the Ashley protective work. The bender of Jolin Ponsonby was accepted! for contract No.. 105, repairing and shingling part of the Bush road. It was decided to have certain repairs done to the Glentui Forest road, and the ehingle slip near the Gorge bridge.
