AUCKLAND, February 10. The Manaipouri brought news from the Friendly Islands to January 20th, much later than the date upon which the tidal wave wae reported by cable to have occurred. The Friendly Islands evidently escaped. News has been received here from the Cook Group of the events that have happened up to January 14th. It is evident that these islands aleo escaped the Tahiti wave.
