The Federal Postal revenue for the halt year wae £1,197,000, being slightly in excess of the treasurer's estimate. COLONIAL TRADE COMMISSIONERS. Mr John Holmes, the New Zealand Trade Commissioner, has returned from England. Interviewed, he strongly urged the necessity of the States appointing trade commissioners to develop export trade. RAILWAY SLEEPERS FOR THE CAPE. SYDNEY, February 10. Thfl Cape Government has accepted a local tender for the supply of half a million railway sleepers*.
