FIRE IN CASHEL STREET.

Shortly after eleven o'clock last night an alarm was given from No. 7 box. The fire was found to be in the back premises of the ironmongery store of Messrs Lewis and Anderson, Caehel street. The members of the E Battery of Artillery were early on the spot, and with some members of the Fire Police ably assisted the Fire Brigade. The two chemical engines gat. to •work, and with the water from the river put on by the eteauiers speedily extinguished the fire. The damage by "fire was confined to the back premises, but there was considerable damage by water. The amount of insurance was not aaeeortain&bk.
