TIMARU.

Our Timaru correspondent reports: — There is very little business passing on the Timaru grain and produce markets, stocks being practically exhausted. For prime Velvet wheat 5s 6d is offering, out the market is hare. A large line of Red Chaff wheat changed hands yesterday in Timaru at ss. on trucks, and much more could be sold at the same price, or even higher, if it were obtainable. Oats are slightly easier than they were last week, and buyei-s are holding otf for the new crop, which will be coming to liand shortly. Milling oats are worth 2s 6d per bushel, other sorts 2s to 2s 3d. Feed barley is worth 3s to 3s 3d. this cereal being now used in place of wheat for fowl feed. Flcur is quoted at £12, pollard £6 10s, bran £6, and oatmeal £13 10s per ton, in each cose.
