WANGANUI v MANAWATU.
(rKESS ASSOCIATION" TELEGKAM.) PALMERSTON NORTH, January 22. A cricket match was played to-day between representatives of the Wanganui and Manawntu Associations. The ;am« wan decided on the first innings, Wangarui winning by 139 runs. The 'Rivals v Linwond Junior Cup match and the Lancaster Park v Sydenham President's Cup matc.h w;M be- continued on Hagley Park next Saturday* owing to the cycle meeting at Lancaster Park. On Wednesday a, match was played op the recreation ground, Rangiora, between Mr Wilder's team and a, team from Kowai and Amberley. Mr Wilder's team made 48 runs (McDonald 14). and Kowai 94 (Powell 30. Marsh 13, Banks 18. Goins; in again Wilder's team mad© 97 (Creswdll 39). Kowai responded with 56, thus winning by five runs. Ihe Canterbury Cricket Association have issued half-crown tickets, entitling holders to admission to Lancaster Park on February 6th. 7th and 9th, the dates of t!he match, Lord Hawke's team v Canterbury. These may be obtaine-d \from any of the members of the Association, the secretaries of Cricket Clubs, or from W. Brice, Colombo street. .
