AMUSEMENTS.
THE "SHEBLOCta. HOLMES" SEASON.
If large audiences night after night are any criterion, there is no failing off in the interest in the adventures of Sherlock Holmes, as represented by llr J. CV Williamson's Company at the Theatre Royal. Another house filled in every part witnessed the fifth repetition of the piece last night, and i&e able manner in which the respective* characters were pourtrayed by the members of the coonjpany, and the highly artistic mounting of the play, met with enthusiastic appreciation. "Sherlock Holmee" will be staged for the last time to-night, giving place on Monday to Jusun Huntly McCarthy's romantic pky, "If I were King." In tiiie Mr Hastings will be seen in a totally dilferent role to that of Sherlock (Holmes. The period of th.* pky lends iteelf to attractive dressing and mounting. There axe several tableaux, which will be staged in a complete manner.
