PRIMITIVE METHODIST CONFERENCE.
■ All the services held in connection witl; the Conference at Ami burton on Sunday, were very largely attended. A big crowd was present at the camp meeting in the Domain in the afternoon, and at the evening services in all th« Dissenting ohurelies where the Conference ministers pre-ached there were crowded congregations'. In the Primitive Methodist Church an c/d-tdme love feast was kept up till 11 p.m. At the Conference yesterday it was decided to receive the Rev. G. W. Smailes, an ex-member of the New South Wales Legislature, in the ministry of the Church. Arrangements were made for the Rev. T. A. Guttery, the foremost pulpit and platform orator of tlie connexion in England, to visit New Zealand, and Mr Goldie, of Auck. land, and Mr W. King, of Dunedin, each promised £25 towards the expenses of the visit.
