MR WILLIAM RONSON.

We regret to record the death on Saturday oi Mr William Ronson, local manager of the Westport Coal Company., Mr Ronson was only 36 yearn of age, but he contracted acute pneumonia on Monday, whioh resulted in his death. He succeeded Mr Brown, as ChristohuiTh manager for tho Westport Coal Company, about eighteen months ago, having been promoted from the company's staff at Westport. Formerly he held the position of branch manager at Auckland. Although he had not been long in Cl-istchuroh, the late Mr Ronson had made many friends. He leaves a widow and three children.

The flags at Lyttelton were flown a* halfmast on Saturday.
