Dr. yon flolleben's eudden recall is interpreted as an expression of the Kaiser's chagrin at 'his managerE-snt of the relations of the two countries. Americans do not 'blame Dr. Holleben in connection with Venezuela. A New York newspaper, the ''CVra-mer-cial Advertiser," says that Americans deeply mistrust the German Government in Samoa, Manila, and Hayti, and adds that its attempt to discredit Lord Pauncefote and Great Britain have not been* forgotten. LONDON", January 10. The New York correspondent of "xne Times" says the Kaiser is primarily responsible for American feeling towards Germany, which is supposed to be the cause of. Dr. yon GEColleben'ii recall. Dr. yon Holleben has been mad l , a convenient scapegoat. The correspondent adds: "American opinion is not amenable to certain diplomatic influence or the innuendos of the reptile Press, which is practically absent here."
