Children’s Party At Galatea
The Galatea Institute gave a party for children in the district. There was a good attendance despite the overcast day and cold wind. Fruit salad, jellies and soft drinks were served to the children, and while they were awaiting the arrival of Santa Claus, races for all ages were run. Santa Claus distributed bags of sweets and ice creams. The item most enjoyed by the kiddies was the scramble for peanuts. The attendance of parents was not so good as in other years.
