Party For Children At Murupara

Murupara-Galatea branch of the W.D.F.F. party for members’ children. A large Christmas tree, prettily decorated with streamers, stars, balloons and presents, was erected on the stage and lit with coloured lights. There was a large gathering of parents and nearly all the children were present.

Santa Claus distributed the presents from the tree, cheers from the audience. A party supper and ice cream w;ere served for the children, after which the parents were served with tea.

Competition winners: Party plate, Mrs Newton 1, Mrs Willbrand 2; single bloom, Mrs Hill 1, Mrs Williams 2; double bloom, Mrs Gibbs 1, Mrs Williams 2; vegetable, Mrs Stunnell 1, Mrs Williams 2.
