Pig Prices Rise At Te Teko
District Stock Sales—
The N.Z. Loan and Mercantile Agency Co. Ltd., report a capacity yarding of 500 pigs at their fortnightly sale held at Te Teko on December 11: Prices firmed on the previous sale and values obtained on all classes of pigs were in excess of those at the last fixture. There was an average yarding of cattle offered and here again, values maintained at late quotations. Beef cows sold readily whilst there was a strong demand for paddock sorts. Boner cows sold readilv at recent quotations. Prices realised were: — Baconers, £5 18s to £7 2s; stores, £3 10s to £5 18s; weaners, £1 to £3 19s. Fat Jersey cows, £ll to £ls 2s 6d; paddohk cows, £8 5s to £lO 7s 6d; boners, £5 10s to £B.
