Sports Prize Winners At High School
Sports prizes were presented to Whakatane High School pupils yesterday by Mr A. Bell, a member of the Auckland Education Board. The prize list is:— Girls: Junior Athletic Champion, Dulcie Learning; Intermediate, Maureen Campbell; Senior, Susanne Briffault. Junior Swimming Champion, Margaret Mahy; Intermediate, Eliza Ranapia; Senior, Emarina Ratima. Junior Tennis Champion, Joan Mahy; Senior - , Margaret Pithie.
Boys: Junior Athletic Champion, B. Lumsden Intermediate, M. Morice; Senior, H. Woods. Junior Steeplechase, fastest time, B. Fabish; Intermediate, B. Sullivan; Senior, D. Bridges. Junior Swimming Champion, C. Stewart; Intermediate, B. Cave; Senior, A. Pryor. Junior Tennis Champion, K. Mahy; Senior, R. Mahy. Shooting hampion, M. Morice. Best Junior N.C.0.. P. Howard.
