EDGECUMBE FARMER APPOINTED

IS MEMBER OF REHABILITATION BOARD

The Minister of Rehabilitation Mr T. L.' Macdonald announces the appointment of Mr C. R. Wilson of Edgecumbe as a part-time member of the rehabilitation board. Mr Wilson has an extensive farming background and has been associated with the directorate of the Rangitaiki Dairy Company for many years. He served in the 191418 war and has always taken a keen interest in the welfare of ex-service-men of World War II and has been a member of the Whakatane Rehabilitation Committee since its formation in 1943 and chairman since 1946.

Mr Wilson was a member of the Whakatane farming sub-committee from its inception in 1944, since its amalgamation with thte farming sub-committee of the Eastern Bay of Plenty Farming Sub-committee in 1949, he has been a member of the latter. *

i Mr Wilson is an active member of the R.S.A. and has been a delegate to the annual meeting of the Dominion Council of the R.S.A. on a number of occasions where his work on land settlement problems has been particularly valuable.
