Wedding

QUICK—SISAM Arum lilies, azaleas, Iceland poppies and lilac decorated St. Matthew’s Anglican Church, Taneatua, on the afternoon of October 21, when a choral service solemnised the marriage of Isobel Marie, youngest daughter of Mrs W. H. Sisam, Waimeba, to Grahame Cecil (Andy) second son of Mr and Mrs E. V. Quick, Hamilton.

The bride, escorted by her icicle, Mr H. J. J 3. Allen, Auckland, looked charming in a wedding gown of white sheer georgette, with 'a lace yoke, and a train and over-skirt appliqued with lace motifs. A headdress of tatted lace and orange blossom worn by her grandmother, held in place a finger tip length veil also appliqued with lace, while a shower bouquet of white watsonia, Shasta daisies and clematis completed the bride’s outfit.

Attending her sister was Miss Joan Sisam whose frock of apricot georgette, made in off the shoulder style with a looped fichu of lace, had a close fitting bodice and a full ground length skirt inset with godets of ecru lace; she carried a bouquet of mauve clematis and Iceland poppies.

The little flower girl, Alison Ingley, niece of the bride, was a picture in her long frock, a miniature of the bridesmaid’s, with a Dolly Varden bonnet of georgette and lace in similar tonings, while suspended from her mittened wrist was a floral ball of apricot and mauve. Dr D. Quick, of Woodville, attended his brother as best man. The marriage ceremony was performed by the Rev. T. Loten, while the wedding music was played by the bride’s mother.

The gardens and lawns at Waimeba were most attractive for the reception of the large number • of guests who gathered to wish the young couple the usual felicitations.

Mrs Sisam received her guests in a frock of mushroom pink cloque, with bolero jacket, and navy straw hat and accesories.

Mrs Quick, mother of the groom, chose an ensemble of blue paisley, with navy coat and accessories. ,s

When the young couple left by car for their honeymoon the bride travelled in a duck egg blue model frock with draped skirt and wine accessories. She carried an off white coat made in an unusual three-way style. Mr and Mrs Quick will make their future home in Hamilton.
