Ohope ParentTeacher Association Is Re-Formed
After a lapse of about 22 months the Ohope Parent-Teacher Asocidtion was reformed at a special meeting. A new executive was v elected.
The need for a school was stressed by several speakers and it was decided to raise £IOO to assist in setting up a school. It was stated that a school at Ohope would be grade 4 and have a staff of three teachers.
At present attempts are to be ><s made to find a house for a headmaster who may be stationed at Ohope. Like other districts in the Bay of Plenty the lack of accommodation is a problem at Ohope and it was pointed out that if a suitable house was made available a new school would be given a good start. Officers elected were: President, Mr J. Thomas; secretary, Mr C. W. Jarrett; committee, Messrs L. Nattress, P. Parr, O. D. Garaway, R. Clarke, F. Brown and Mrs J. Dickson.
