The Government hoped in the near future to be able to announce its proposals to carry out the Forest Service’s recommendations that an integrated sawmill and pulp and paper mill be established at the earliest possible date, said the Minister or Forests, Mr Corbett, in the House of Representatives. The sum of £200,000 had been placed on this year’s estimates to cover all possible expenditure which it was anticipated might be incurred' in carrying out the Government’s intentions..
