Citizens Will Farewell Dr Appleby
A citizens farewell to Dr F. Appleby, who recently retired, is to be held in the King Street Hall at 5.30 p.m. next Wednesday. Organised by the Chamber of Commerce, the function will be informal. Suitable recognition of Dr Appleby's services to the town and district will be made.
Dr Appleby, who has lately been in Auckland, will be at the Lakes for some time.
Borough and County residents who wish to attend the function are asked to telephone Mr H. G. Warren, Mr B. L. Butler or Mr C. Kingsley-Smith.
