New Sheds
The proposed new dressing sheds to be erected on the Whakatane Rugby fields are now in the sketch plan stage but detailed plans are expected to be completed within a fortnight. The cost will probably be about £1250 and the buildings are expected to be ready for next season.
Successful Season With one of the most successful seasons almost over the Whakatane Rugby Sub-Union will probably end the year’s workings well on the credit side of the ledger. A large amount of money has been handled on transporting teams around the Bay of Plenty for various matches and encouraging • the game in the junior and third grades. The subunion at present has a credit of £142 18s lOd, it was stated at the fortnightly meeting.
