Manawahe W.I. Discusses Party

There was a good attendance of members at the September meeting of the Manawahe Women’s Institute. A lengthy discussion took place re this year’s birthday party which is to be on October 21. Afternoon tea was served by the hostess, Mrs Mikelsen, after which competitions were voted on. Results were:— Best flower, Mrs Mikkelsen 1, Mrs Baldwin 2; best shrub, Mrs Logan 1, Mrs Bowden 2; best vegetable, Mrs Mikkelsen 1, Mrs King and Mrs Morice equal 2. Competition, unusual container, Mrs Baldwin 1, Mrs Appleby 2.
