Twelve Men Search For Body Of Missing Youth
Twelve men, with four cars, searched beaches on Saturday for the body of George Drayson, of Salonika Street, Whakatane, who did not return from fishing at the Heads on August 20. The search was not successful.
Beaches from the Heads to Matata, a distance of 16 miles, were searched.
A search of the Rurima Islands and Whale Island is being made today. Persistent rumours on Friday to the effect that the body had been found caused embarrassment to the police and to the youth’s parents.
