Average Yarding, Values Easier At Te Puke Sale
New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co. Ltd. reports as follows on their Te Puke stock sale held on Tuesday:—
An average yarding of fat and store pigs came forward. Values in most cases were easier and more in buyers’ favour than has been the case in previous sales this season. Fat and store cattle were again in strong demand wdth a further firming in values. In the dairy section there was a fair demand for top quality cattle but very few really good cattle were yarded. The following is a range of prices realised:—
Pigs: Medinm baconers, £6 15s to £6l9s; light baconers, £6 to £6 9s; large buttermilk pigs, £5. 5s to £5 15s; heavy porkers, £5 to £5 10s; light porkers, £3 15s to £4 ss; small stores, £3 to £4; slips, £2 10s to £3 10s.
Cattle: Fat cows ex dairy, £lO 12s 6d to £l3; light fat cows, £8 to £10; boner cows, £7 to £10; light boner cows, £2 10s to £6.
