Rehabilitation Bursars Do Well At University

(Special to Beacon) Wellington, yesterday. Full-time rehabilitation bursars at New Zealand University Colleges and other institutions . last year on the average passed in four out of five subjects attempted. The percentage of subjects passed by each ex-serviceman student was 83.2. Gratification has been expressed by the Rehabilitation Board at the good all-round showing which exservicemen made at he examinations. Best results for University examinations were in law, in which rehabilitation full-time bursars passed in 100 per cent of their subjects. Others included dentistry 94 per cent, mining 93, medicine 91, divinity 88, agriculture 82, arts 81, physiotherapy 81, and engineering 80.

Passes in all subjects were obtained by the 27 rehabilitation bursars in veterinary science at Sydney University. Ex-servicemen studying on a parttime basis with rehabilitation assistance passed in just under half of all subjects sat. Best results for such bursars, who are granted tuition and examination fees only, were ,in optics 100 per cent, mining 100, home science 100, dentistry 91, insurance 91, divinity 90,. and medicine 83.
