New Residents ' Welcome At Thornton

The Thornton Young Farmers' Club in conjunction with the local boy scouts extended a warm welcome to all the new residents of their district at a welcome dance at Thornton last week.

Twenty-three new arrivals were invited and they took the opportunity of meeting many of the older residents. During the evening a small gift was presented to Mrs B. Cruse, from the people of Thornton on the occasion of the approaching marriage. Good wishes were also extended to Mr and Mrs Bob Butler, who are leaving shortly to settle at Galatea.
