Borough Council Meets
The Mayor, Mr B. S. Barry, presided over the monthly meeting of the Whakatane Borough Council on Monday night. Also present were councillors H.' G. Warren (chairman of the Works Committee), R. T. Morpeth, E. R. Dillicar, R. Buttimore, M. Lennie, K. Needham and A. O’Rourke. The town clerk, Mr L. D. Lovelock, electrical engineer, Mr F. W. Lysaght, and the. foreman engineer, Mr C\ D. Molesworth. were in attendance.
Apologies were received from councillors C. S. Armstrong and W. Sullivan. \
