MANY ATTRACTIVE FROCK'S SEEN AT WAIM AN A BALL
With the hall gaily decorated with flags, bunting and nikau palms and a large crowd determined to enjoy themselves the annual -Waimana R.S.A. ball last Thursday night could hardly have been anything else but the great success it was. Dress suits and attractive evening frocks were a feature and the many beautiful frocks were seen to advantage in the grand march. This was led by Mr and Mrs M. King, Waimana, to' the skirl of the pipes. A delicious savoury supper proved a welcome distraction to dancing.
Music was provided by the 8.8. C Orchestra and extras were presented by- the Opotilci Caledonian Pipe Band. Messrs B. Wilson and J. Cranswick were masters of ceremony.
